The Scottish Arts Council required a showpiece film to illuminate the vibrancy of Scotland's contemporary arts scene. However, a worldwide audience meant any thoughts of extensive use of the English language was off the agenda. Cue two weeks filming around the country, a careful hunt through existing archive material, and some splendid music by Mogwai, which collectively resulted in our very own little work of art.
